Week Zero Orientation Camp

Description: TP's Week Zero Orientation Camp was the biggest of all the orientations -- the time when freshies from all six schools come together. Each school held many activities, from stay-in camps to campus tours, large-scale games, and even a tug-of-war between students and staff. The Camp orientates students within their school, providing an in-depth insight into their school and bonding the freshmen at the School level. The Week-Zero Camp is organized by the respective Studies Club of each School. The various school orientation programmes took place from 15-19 April 2013, ending with the annual Regatta on the last day. Freshmen from the School of Design had a wonderful time participating in the numerous activities organised by their Studies Club.

Joint admissions exercise 2014

Description: The Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) 2014 was conducted at Temasek Polytechnic from Monday 13 Jan to Friday 17 Jan 2014. The objective of the JAE was to allow students who sat for their O-level exams to apply for admission to courses in the polytechnics of their choice. TP organised the course preview talks for applicants and parents who wanted more information about the courses offered by TP. Besides the course preview talks, prospective applicants and their parents could chat online with TP's course advisors from 9.30 am to 1.00 am from 11 to 16 Jan 2014 and from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm on 17 Jan 2014.

Temasek Polytechnic Open House 2005, day 1

Description: The Temasek Polytechnic Open House was held from 17 to 19 February 2005. The annual event was held to enable secondary school students to make an informed choice regarding their educational path after they have completed their studies. Visitors were given the opportunity to meet up with the lecturers from the respective schools to find out more on the diploma courses offered. I-Guides, a group of volunteer students, were on hand to guide visitors around the campus and brief them about the various schools and activities going on. Some of the activities provided during the 3-day open house included a fashion show, performances by TP students and for the first time ever, water adventures such as dragon boating, canoeing and canoe-polo were organised and held at Bedok Reservoir. The finale of the Open House was the Jam and Hop session on 19 February 2005 evening with entertainment by renowed local groups such as Pug Jelly, Noize and Turning Point.

The many faces of tourism in Singapore 2003

Description: The finals for the 4th Singapore Tourism Competition, "The Many Faces of Tourism in Singapore" was held at Temasek Polytechnic Auditorium on 18 July 2003. It was organised by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Singapore Chapter and Temasek Business School with support from Singapore Tourism Board. The competition was opened to all secondary schools and students were encouraged to explore unique ideas to draw tourist family groups to Singapore.

Description: The annual Beyond O Level Seminar (BOL) was held on 12 January 2019 at the Temasek Polytechnic Auditorium 1 and 2. Description: Drivers and their passengers are required to check in using Safe Entry, show their staff identification and temperature badge to the security guard before entry. If they do not have the temperature badge then they will have to park their car and proceed to the sheltered canopy to have their temperature taken. Only the WEST Gate is accessible to all vehicles entering TP campus.

Memorandum of Understanding between Temasek Polytechnic and Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology

Temasek Business School freshmen orientation 2010

Description: Temasek Business School freshmen orientation was held on 15 April 2010 at the Temasek Convention Centre. Mr Daniel Yeow, Director, Temasek Business School addressed the freshmen, followed by performances from the Salvo Drums and Dance Ensemble and the singing of TP anthem by freshmen and staff. To bond the freshmen at school level, everyone including the Business School lecturers gathered at Temasek Polytechnic Sports Complex and with much creativity and teamwork, successfully formed the numeral "20" to commemorate TP's 20th anniversary.

H1N1 temperature screening exercise in TP Library

Description: In response to the H1N1-2009 (Influenza A) outbreak in May 2009, Temasek Polytechnic took precautionary health measures to contain the spread of the virus by introducing temperature screening. Library was one of the designated stations for temperature screening. Visitors who registered a high temperature were turned away and not permitted to enter its premises.

TPRAWKS 2010, day 1

Description: A 3-day non residential camp for secondary school students, especially for those taking their O-level exams in 2010. It was held on 18 to 20 November 2010. The objective was to allow these students to experience TP's way of life. Lecturers from the different academic schools were present to explain the types of diploma courses available, and under their expert guidance, students had a taste of hands-on poly education. Some of the activities held during the 3-day camp included sing along sessions, team building games, solving puzzles and challenges and manoeuvering through various obstacles course like having their legs tied together with those of another student and navigating through spider webs, under tables and bamboo poles, mass dancing held at the sports hall, and sports especially water sports like dragon boating and canoeing in Bedok Reservoir. The grand finale, "Jam and hop" had students grooving to the music of DJ Andrew T and performances by local bands Sleeq and The Good Fellas.

Freshmen Orientation Camp 2015

Description: The annual Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC) was organised by the Temasek Polytechnic Students' Union (TPSU) for full-time students. Freshmen may attend either a 3-day non-residential camp or a 3-day, 2-night residential camp. The activities planned during the orientation will allow students to familiarise themselves with the school environment and provide ample opportunities to make new friends, network among peers, and experience the vibrant TP campus life. Week Zero Orientation: The Final Clash 2001

Description: On 29 June 2001, Week Zero Orientation for Freshmen ended with a big bang at the Final Clash 2001. First year students from the five Schools get acquainted with each other while having fun in games such as Save the Bomb, Hey My Balloon, Dress Me Up, Final Battle and Let Me Cross. All five Schools also pitted against each other in the telematch and cheerleading competitions. Temasek Engineering School emerged as the Games Champion.

Think Tank! Inaugural household objects design competition winners exhibition 2003

Description: Think Tank, an inaugural household objects design competition organised jointly by furniture lifestyle company X-tra Designs and Takashimaya Singapore saw 71 students from Temasek Design School redesigned everyday items such as back scratchers, tooth pick holders and laundry forks with a stylish twist. The top 30 re-designed items shortlisted from the entries received were exhibited at Takashimaya Department Store from 12 to 28 September 2003.
