TPRAWKS 2011, day 3

Description: A 3-day non residential camp for secondary school students, especially for those taking their O-level exams in 2011. It was held on 21 to 23 November 2011. The objective was to allow these students to experience TP's way of life. Students were divided into 6 different groups (poprawk, glamrawk, grungerawk, fusionrawk, britrawk, punkrawk) and were taken on a tour of the different schools in TP. Lecturers were on hand to explain the types of diploma courses available, and under their expert guidance, students had a sneak peek into the courses that were of interest to them. One of the camp highlights was being entertained by celebrities from MediaCorp. Some of the activities held during the 3-day camp included sing along sessions, quizzes and games, sports especially water sports like canoeing in Bedok Reservoir, and the grand finale, "Jam and hop".

Description: Twice a year, Temasek Polytechnic holds its Campus Care Network (CCN) Day, a long-held tradition where staff and students put up a campus-wide bazaar and online sale to raise funds for students in need of financial assistance. The aim of this polywide event is to cultivate community spirit and bonding for staff and students. The second CCN Day was held on 14 November 2008. Stalls were set up at the plaza and along the Schools' concourse areas selling an assortment of items ranging from food, drinks, ice-cream, flowers and more. There was also cake making workshop held as part of the fund-raising activities.

iCafe @ Library exhibition 2000

Description: The iCafe @ Library Exhibition was held in conjunction with TP Orientation for Freshmen in 2000. The iCafe, an interactive virtual library guide was designed to introduce, in a fun and relaxing way, the services and facilities that the Library had to offer to new patrons and visitors. Based on the popularity of the coffee culture here, the cafe concept as a virtual library guide was designed by 2 Student Internship Programme (SIP) students from the Temasek Information Technology School. Inside the cafe, users could visit the Cyber Club, Edutainment Hall, view Highlights and browse the different "Coffee powders" (library collections) offered and be acquainted with "Student specials" such as past exam papers and information on recommended book collection. To publicise the exhibition, a banner was hung outside the Library and a model dressed prettily as a wait staff graced the entrance to the special display on Info cafe at the Library Exhibition Hall, level 2. The iCafe @ Library Exhibition ran from 26 June to 14 July 2000.

Graduation ceremony 2014, day 4

Description: The Temasek Polytechnic graduation ceremony spanned over 14 sessions from 26 to 30 May 2014. Guest of honour, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information, officiated at the opening session held on Monday, 26 May 2014 at 9.00am at the Temasek Convention Centre. A total of 5375 students graduated from 55 full-time diploma courses and 9 part-time courses. Day 4: Session 10. Temasek Polytechnic first tree planting day

The many faces of Singapore 2004

Description: The finals for the 5th Singapore Tourism Competition for schools, "The Many Faces of Singapore", was held at Temasek Polytechnic Auditorium on July 2004. It was jointly organised by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Singapore Chapter and Temasek Polytechnic with support from Singapore Tourism Board. The competition was opened to all secondary schools and students were encouraged to explore unique ideas based on local heritage, history, beliefs, or the arts to draw tourist to Singapore. About 4,600 students from 61 secondary schools took part in the competition with 16 teams making it to the finals.

Temasek Regatta 2006

Description: Temasek Regatta 2006 kicked off on April 21, 2006 with secondary school students, TP students, and staff gathering at the Bedok Reservoir for a battle on the water. The regatta was the grand finale of the Temasek Polytechnic freshmen orientation 2006. For the second year running, numerous secondary schools were invited to compete against one another in the dragon boat competition as part of TP's outreach programme. After an intense fight, CHIJ Katong Convent finished first in the Women's Finals, while Mayflower and Evergreen Secondary Schools came in second and third, respectively. In the Men's Finals, Victoria School emerged champion, while Bukit Panjang and Chung Cheng High (Yishun) finished runners-up and second runners-up, respectively. In the afternoon, staff and students, led by Principal & CEO Mr Boo Kheng Hua, took to the water to compete in the inter-school dragon boat races and friendship races.

Pedestrians accessing Temasek Polytechnic campus via Overhead Bridge and Audi Foyer

All pedestrians may enter via the overhead bridge if they have the temperature badge or via the main audi foyer to have their temperature screened. Beyond O Level Seminar 2020

Description: The annual Beyond O Level Seminar (BOL) was held on 11 January 2020 at the Temasek Polytechnic Auditorium 1. The Seminar was held in two sessions which catered exclusively to the needs of parents and students awaiting the 'O' level results. The event was organised by the Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and held in conjunction with TP's Open House. The aim of the seminar was to address the many questions parents and students had regarding a polytechnic education, admissions, scholarships, further education and career opportunities. After the Seminar, participants were also given opportunities to go on guided tours to explore TP's vibrant campus ground including many top-notch learning facilities.

Alice-in-Action Challenge 2010

Description: The National Infocomm Competition (NIC) is a series of infocomm-themed competitions to expose students to areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, data science and mobile application development. A total of 3,000 students from secondary schools, junior colleges, ITE and polytechnics took part in 15 challenges within the NIC in 2010. One of the themed challenges was titled "Alice-in-Action" and was organised by Temasek Polytechnic School of Informatics & IT on 4 November 2010 for secondary schools. For the 2010 challenge, Bedok View Secondary School, Hwa Chong Institution, Nan Hua High, Bowen Secondary, Raffles Institution were among some of the participating schools. On hand to present the awards to prize winners was Mrs Lee-Lim Sok Keow, Director, School of Informatics & IT.

Library displays

Description: Photographs of library displays and signages produced in house between 1998 to 2001 to promote and create awareness of different types of library resources. Some of these displays were held in conjunction with TP wide events such as the annual Tech month. Books of the month featured hot off the press titles such as Lee Kuan Yew memoir to current topics such as e-learning and health & nutrition. BOM displays were usually located at the Reading Lounge of the Library on Level 2. Signage on the rotoflex shelves informed patrons about newspapers clippings of current and past years' articles arranged by subject headings. Plus, signage of shelf call numbers and corresponding subject headings on Level 9, Design floor. There were also thematic glass window displays at level 3 Microcomputer Resources Room as well as outside of the Learning Resource Centre.

Partnering Parents in Career Planning Seminar

Description: A seminar on "Partnering Parents in Career Planning" was held on 26 October 1996 at the Temasek Polytechnic Auditorium. Temasek Polytechnic Open House 1995

Description: The Temasek Polytechnic Open House was held from 16 to 18 February 1995. Beside offering information about the courses through exhibitions and course and career counselling, the annual event also included other highlights such as the Mr and Miss Tourism Personality Pageant, Travel Carnival, Movie Preview and a mural painting by staff and student. The Tourism Personality Pageant was organised for the the first time by the Tourism Management students.
