Description: Ms Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Education, officiated at the opening session of Temasek Polytechnic's 25th Graduation Ceremony on Monday, 18 May 2015 at the Temasek Convention Centre. A total of 5437 students graduated from 54 full-time diploma courses and 16 part-time courses. The graduation ceremonies spanned over 14 sessions from 18 May - 22 May 2015. 2015 also saw the first cohort of 40 graduands from the Diploma in Business Intelligence & Analytics receiving their diplomas on Day 3 of TP's Graduation. Ms Indranee Rajah presented the poly level awards to the top graduates and also addressed the graduates from the full-time Diplomas in Aerospace Electronics and Aerospace Engineering at the opening session.

Description: The Graduate Employment Survey (GES), jointly conducted by the five polytechnics in 2017, showed that polytechnic graduates continue to be in demand in the job market. The overall employment rate six months after graduation was at 87.3% (86.4% for fresh graduates, and 89.8% for post-NS graduates). Although there was a decline from 2016, employment rate remains healthy. The decline is partly due to year-on-year changes in labour market and economic conditions, and preferences of students upon graduation.

Description: Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Education, officiated at the opening session of Temasek Polytechnic's 23rd Graduation Ceremony on Friday, 17 May 2013 at 9.00am at the Temasek Convention Centre. The graduation ceremonies spanned over 14 sessions from 17 - 23 May 2013. This year, the first cohort of 66 graduands from the diploma in Early Childhood Studies received their diplomas. The first session saw Mr Heng presenting the Lee Kuan Yew Award, the Lee Kong Chian Award, the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal Award, the CapitaLand Award for All-Round Excellence and the Lee Kong Chian Award for All-Round Excellence. In this opening session, in addition to the presentation of the top poly-level award winners, Mr Heng addressed the graduands from the Diplomas in Culinary & Catering Management and Hospitality & Tourism Management.

Description: The Graduate Employment Survey (GES), jointly conducted by the five polytechnics, showed that polytechnic graduates continue to be sought after by employers and commanded higher salaries in 2018 than in 2017. Among respondents who entered the labour force, the overall employment rate six months after graduation was 89.5%, 2.2 percentage points higher than in 2017. The proportion who were unemployed and still looking for a job or in involuntary part-time/temporary employment decreased by 4.4 percentage points.

Description: Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, Minister of State for National Development and Manpower officiated the first session of Temasek Polytechnic's 22nd Graduation Ceremony on Monday, 21 May 2012 at 9.00am at the Temasek Convention Centre. For the 2012 Graduation Ceremony, the first cohort of graduands from the diplomas in Pharmaceutical Science, Gerontological Management Studies, Clean Energy, Aerospace Electronics and Aerospace Engineering received their diplomas. Description: In line with the Government's heightened safe distancing measures, the polytechnics and ITE have made the difficult decision to cancel the graduation ceremonies which were scheduled to take place in May and July 2020. The cancellation affected some 26,000 graduands from the five polytechnics and 6,500 graduands from ITE. Institutions will make arrangements for diplomas/certificates and transcripts to be delivered to the graduands.

Description: Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Second Minister for the Ministry of Education, officiated at the opening session of Temasek Polytechnic's Graduation Ceremony on Monday, 3 May 2021 at the Temasek Convention Centre. A total of 6,203 students graduated from 47 full-time diploma courses and 42 part-time courses. The graduation ceremonies spanned over 35 sessions from 3 to 11 May 2021. The sessions were also livestreamed so that family and friends could be part of the celebration. Dr Maliki presented the polytechnic-level awards to the top graduates and also addressed the graduates from the full-time Diplomas in Big Data Management & Governance, Cyber & Digital Security and Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics at the opening session. Mr Lee Kok Choy, Chairman, TP’s Board of Governors, presented the Skills Mastery Award which recognised students who have demonstrated strong mastery of course-specific skills through their achievements in competitions. A total of 13 Skills Mastery Awards were given out this year.

This annual Graduate employment survey was jointly conducted by Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic to ascertain the employment status of polytechnic graduates. The theme for 2017 was "Rethink retail", with a focus on productivity and innovation. Keynote speaker was Mr David Westhead, CEO of RSH (Singapore) Pte Ltd, who also participated in the panel discussion and Q&A that included the CEO of Lazada Singapore, Mr Alexis Lanternier, as well as Ms Yong Lee Ping, Business Analysis and Operations Manager, IKEA. There were also sharing sessions given by successful poly and ITE graduates, Law Choon Keong, Temasek Polytechnic - Class of 2016, Venezia Fong, Nanyang Polytechnic - Class of 2017, Nicole Chin, Singapore Polytechnic - Class of 2015 and Kevin Lim, Ngee Ann Polytechnic - Class of 2009. Launched in 2016, the Joint Poly-ITE Retail Seminar and Career Fair enabled students to gain valuable insights and have a better appreciation for the exciting careers in the retail industry.

Description: The annual Graduate Employment Survey was jointly conducted by Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic to ascertain the employment status of polytechnic graduates, approximately six months after completion of final examinations. For 2014, it was held between 1 October and 8 December and attracted a total of 15,321 respondents. The 2014 Survey showed that polytechnic graduates had healthy overall employment rates and salaries, similar to those who graduated in 2013.

Description: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) Culinary & Catering Management senior, Mr Poh Zhe Kai, emerged champion after beating 14 other top local culinary students across 7 institutions in the prestigious Les Amis Awards 2015 Challenge. Andre Chiang (Restaurant Andre), Joshua Brown (CUT by Wolfgang Puck), and Willin Low (Wild Rocket Restaurant) were among the panel of 12 esteemed chef judges assembled by Les Amis. Zhe Kai took home the $3,000 cash prize, as well as an all-expenses paid '10 Michelin Stars' trip to Europe. Besides that, he also had the invaluable opportunity to meet the chef-owners behind revered kitchens such as Le Petit Nice and Troisgros.

Description: The inaugural Joint Poly-ITE Tourism Career Fair 2018 was launched on 31 October 2018 by Temasek Polytechnic (TP), which leads the Tourism Sector-Co-ordination team (SCT). The event, Tourism Transformation, raised tourism job profiles and encouraged students to pursue tourism sector careers, as well as served as a platform for tourism partners to showcase career progression pathways and engage potential talents. The Skills Framework for Tourism was also unveiled to support the manpower strategies, highlighting pivotal jobs and critical skills needed in the Tourism sector. It provides information on the sector, career pathways, identifies 109 existing and emerging skills and competencies across 69 occupations/job roles, as well as training programmes which support the development of these skills.

Description: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and DDB Worldwide signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 28 October 2016 to set up a satellite office of Equator to groom the next generation of creative technologists in Singapore. Equator is DDB Worldwide's first-ever global centre of excellence for technology and innovation to pioneer digital transformation marketing solutions. A diverse pool of students from the School of Informatics & IT, School of Design, School of Engineering and School of Business would serve their internships at the on-campus agency. Ms Low Yen Ling, Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Education & Ministry of Trade and Industry, witnessed the signing of the MOU by Mr Peter Lam, Principal & CEO, Temasek Polytechnic and David Tang, CEO of DDB Asia. The first project co-created with TP student was a community project called the Personal Response for Emergency Situations (P.R.E.S.) -- a mobile application that allows users to send one-touch distress signals to their loved ones and relevant authorities, alerting them to possible emergencies such as a terrorist attack or a disaster.
