Beyond O Level Seminar 2017

Summary: The annual Beyond O Level Seminar (BOL) was held on 7 January 2017 at the Temasek Convention Centre. It was a must-visit event that catered exclusively to the needs of parents and students awaiting the O level results. The event was organised by Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and The New Paper and was held in conjunction with TP's Open House. The aim of the informative seminar was to address the many questions parents and students had regarding a polytechnic education in Singapore. Beside sharing sessions by alumni and current TP students, participants also got the opportunity to have a guided tour to an academic school.

Temasek Polytechnic Open House 2017, day 1

Summary: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) Open House 2017 was held on 5 to 7 January 2017. The annual open house was held to enable secondary school students to make an informed choice regarding their educational path after they have completed their studies. The secondary school students were given the opportunity to meet up with the lecturers from the respective schools, have a chat with them on the diploma courses offered and the different options available, tour the campus and met up with TP students to find out more about the facilities and life in the campus. Some of the activities provided during the 3-day open house included 3D Virtual Reality tours, a fashion show, closed-up with a real-life Hawker Siddeley 700A private jet, analysed forensic evidence, and more.
