Description: The 15th Polytechnic Student Research Programme (PSRP) award presentation ceremony was held on Thursday, 8 March 2012 at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. A total of 80 final-year PSRP projects were undertaken by the five polytechnics and the team with the best PSRP project from each polytechnic received a cash award at the ceremony. Prof Jackie Y. Ying, the Executive Director at A*STAR Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology was the guest-of-honour. The winning projects from Temasek Polytechic were "Isolation of circulating tumour cells using a novel microsieve cartridge" and "Realising Internet of things (IoT) through service oriented dynamic sensor network". Mr Chia Mia Chiang, Principal, Ngee Ann Polytechnic gave the welcome address.

Description: Temasek Polytechnic presented the recipients of the five top poly awards to the media in the "Presentation of top graduates' event on Monday, 14 May 2012. For the first time, two new top awards were presented at its Graduation ceremony -- the Lee Kong Chian Award and the Lee Kong Chian Award for All-Round Excellence in addition to the Lee Kuan Yew Award, the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal Award and the CapitaLand Award for All-Round Excellence. Winners of the Lee Kuan Yew Award: Ang Yan Ee , Dominic Koh, Teh Kaiwen ; winners of the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal Award: Christina Lee, Lim Wei Zhong; winners of the Lee Kong Chian Award: Kevin Chiam, Zerah Goh, Jennifer Wee; winners of the CapitaLand Award for All-Round Excellence: Keith Lim; winners of the Lee Kong Chian Award for All-Round Excellence: Divyashree Balakrishnan, Mitchelle Elaine Jauw Shian Fern.

Description: The joint polytechnic press release on higher pay for poly grads in 2011 was released on 6 February 2012. It revealed the findings of the Graduate employment survey conducted between October and November 2011 by the five polytechnics. This annual Graduate employment survey was jointly conducted by Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic to ascertain the employment status of polytechnic graduates. The results of the survey showed that polytechnic graduates were in great demand by employers and earned more with higher remuneration, compared to the previous year.

Description: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider. The partnership allowed for the sharing of knowledge and skills in cloud computing technology and enabled TP's students to respond to growing demands in this area and the establishment of the Cloud Technology & Innovation Center, a joint laboratory dedicated to the research, development, and teaching of cloud computing technology. Present at the event were Mr Boo Kheng Hua, Principal & CEO, Temasek Polytechnic, Tony Zhang, South Pacific Regional VP of Huawei Enterprise and Jayson Goh, Executive Director, Infocomms and Media, Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

Description: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 24 July 2012 with the Institute of Public Relations Singapore (IPRS) to launch the 1st PR student chapter at TP's School of Business. The chapter was the first of its kind in Singapore between a Polytechnic and the PR industry to foster greater awareness of public relations. With this initiative, TP students in the Diploma in Communications and Media Management (CMM), Diploma in Business (BUS) and Diploma in Marketing (MKG) could leverage on the many networking and mentorship programmes offered by IPRS. The MOU was signed by Mr Daniel Yeow , Director, TP's School of Business and Mr Ng Wei Joo, IPRS President.

Description: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and Lufthansa Technical Training GmbH (LTT) signed an agreement on Tuesday, 19 February 2013 to extend their partnership for another 5 years. With this partnership both parties continued to make improvements to the training programmes for professionals in the growing aviation industry in Singapore and the region. Mr Ong Yong Ming, winner of the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Award 2010, credited his training at the TP-LTT Centre for his achievements. Temasek Polytechnic was represented by Mrs Lay-Tan Siok Lie, Deputy Principal and Director, School of Engineering, while Lufthansa Technical Training was represented by its Managing Director, Mr Andreas Kaden.

Press release. 27 June 2013. Menlo Worldwide Logistics and Temasek Polytechnic establish scholarship programme, announce 2013 winners

Description: Menlo Worldwide Logistics (Menlo) and Temasek Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 27 June 2013 to establish a new scholarship programme for students pursuing careers in logistics and supply chain management. Under the programme, Menlo established four annual scholarships of S$2,500 each. These scholarships were awarded to selected students in their third and final year of study pursuing the Diploma in Operations and Logistics Managementat at TP's School of Business. The recipients of Menlo's four scholarships for 2013 were Ong Si Ru Sharon, Lim KeWei Daryl James, Goh Jia Xian and Shen Zhi Kai Darrell. The MOU was signed by Mr Daniel Yeow, Director, School of Business, Temasek Polytechnic and Mr Desmond Chan, Managing Director, South Asia for Menlo.

Press release. 02 Dec. 2014. Student entrepreneurs share the gift of design with children this holiday season

Description: Over two weekends in December, on 6 and 7, 13 and 14 December, 40 talented students, alumni and staff from Temasek Polytechnic's (TP) School of Design, in partnership with Sentosa, organised two workshops on silk-screening and card-making for children whose parents were working full-time or incarcerated in prison. The TP designers also set up shop called "Merry Makers Market" to sell unique, hand-crafted limited edition gift items that were both functional and beautiful, with some 15 stalls located at the Sentosa Boardwalk. In the spirit of inclusivity and giving during the holiday season, the children of the Fei Yue Student Care Centre and Salvation Army Prison Support Services - Kids In Play (KIP) received hand-crafted gifts from the TP design students.

Description: The official launch of Temasek Polytechnic's 25th anniversary celebrations by Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Mr Goh Chok Tong was held on Wednesday, 29 April 2015 at 10am at Auditorium 1. TP was established in 1990 with five satellite campuses, and became a beautiful 30-hectare campus by the scenic Bedok Reservoir in 1995. The year long celebrations included events like the TP 25 hour challenge in May, an International Conference on Learning & Teaching in October and a home-grown musical "Crunch time" in November. Apart from launching TP's 25th anniversary microsite, ESM Mr Goh was presented with a copy of TP's 25th anniversary commemorative book, "From silver to gold".

Description: Temasek Polytechnic's Meeting Young Minds @ BIT Project Show was held on Wednesday, 22 February 2017. Some 30 final-year projects developed by the graduating students of TP's Business Information Technology (BIT) course were on show to the public. One of the projects showcased was FALL-D -- a fall-detecting monitoring system that used a combination of motion detection, motion acceleration and voice recognition devices to trigger alerts to the caregiver via mobile application, if an emergency was suspected. Other student projects included the following: Enabling healthier meal choices from food photos and Facilities incident report system (FIRS) -- discussions were initiated with TP's Estates and Facilities Management Department to test-bed the system within campus. Also present were representatives from industry partners like FOMO Pay Private Ltd and Onelyst. Co-founder and CEO of Onelyst, Hizam Ismail, is a BIT alumnus and a graduate from TP in 2010.
