Description: A programme booklet of Temasek Polytechnic's 1st graduation ceremony held on Tuesday, 30 July 1991 at Singapore Labour Foundation Auditorium. Dr Tay Eng Soon, Senior Minister of State for Education was the Guest-of-honour. These very first graduates of Temasek Polytechnic are from the School of Design. As the first graduates, they are also Temasek Polytechnic's first alumni.

Float competition

Description: School of Engineering organised a float competition as part of the Freshmen Orientation 1998. Freshmen were given 2 days to design and fabricate their floats based on the themes, "Singapore My Home" or "Technology 2000". They were given only a one-metre wooden pole and a ball of raffia string to start with. Students demonstrated their resourcefulness and creativity by using mainly recycled materials or discarded items to build their floats.

Description: The legendary soccer star Pele, who won the World Cup three times with Brazil (in 1958, 1962 and 1970) visited Temasek Polytechnic on 28 November 2006. He was welcomed by thousands of staff, students, and local soccer fans at the Temasek Polytechnic sport complex. Pele, whose real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento, signed autographs, hugged his fans, posed for photos, and also witnessed a friendly soccer match between Singapore national under-18 squad, and the Temasek Polytechnic soccer team. Other guests at the event were Mr Teo Ser Luck, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Community Development, Youth & Sports (MCYS), and Mayor Zainudin Nordin of Central Singapore CDC. Mayor Zainudin Nordin is also the FAS Vice-President.

Freshmen Orientation Grand Finale 2000

Description: The highlight of TP's Week Zero Orientation Camp 2000 was the traditional "Final Clash", which would see students from the four Schools competing against each other in the telematch and cheerleading competition. Temasek Engineering School emerged as the winner for this year. Over 4000 freshmen sold cute little teddy bears by Sasha Bear Company at various locations around Singapore to raise funds for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), National Kidney Foundation's Children's Kidney Transplant Centre, and TP's Campus Care Network. BG George Yeo, Minister for Trade and Industry, was the Guest-of-Honour for the orientation finale held at the Triangular Garden on 30 June 2000. Five confetti canons were fired, and two students abseiled down from the sixth-storey corridor accompanied by fireworks to welcome him.
