The National Infocomm Competition (NIC) is a series of infocomm-themed competitions to expose students to areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, data science and mobile application development. A total of 3,000 students from secondary schools, junior colleges, ITE and polytechnics took part in 15 challenges within the NIC in 2010. One of the themed challenges was titled "Alice-in-Action" and was organised by Temasek Polytechnic School of Informatics & IT on 4 November 2010 for secondary schools. For the 2010 challenge, Bedok View Secondary School, Hwa Chong Institution, Nan Hua High, Bowen Secondary, Raffles Institution were among some of the participating schools. On hand to present the awards to prize winners was Mrs Lee-Lim Sok Keow, Director, School of Informatics & IT.
