Description

Temasek Polytechnic (TP) worked closely with the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) to further the financial independence of their members. TP students developed a business plan for them to sell an original dessert developed by TP and trained them on how to serve it. The dessert was sold by MINDS members at the launched of the Disability Awareness Week carnival on 3 December 2005 at the HDB Hub in Toa Payoh. The guest-of-honour for the event was Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports.
