The Temasek Polytechnic Open House was held from 8 to 10 February 1996. The theme was "Happenin" Place, Best Choices, Go East. Beside course and career counsellings, visitors were also invited to tour the brand new campus, surfed the internet and World Wide Web and browsed through student project exhibits. Other highlights included in the annual event were a stunning fashion show, live performances and great buys at the bazaar and travel fair. Freebies such as movie tickets, Norgen-Vaaz ice-cream, posters and souvenirs were also given away.
