The five local polytechnics, namely Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic, and Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deepen collaboration between educators and the FinTech industry. This MOU supported the PolyFinTech 100 initiative, launched in October 2016 to develop a strong talent pool trained in financial technology to aid Singapore in becoming a smart financial centre. The MOU underscored SFA's commitment to enhance the FinTech eco-system through active and continuous engagement of polytechnic students. Plans for 2017 included the innovation lab crawls, internships and workshops. SFA's President Mr Chia Hock Lai and Mr Clarence Ti, Principal of Ngee Ann Polytechnic shared their comments on the collaboration.
