TP InfoTech Day 2017 was held on Wednesday, 8 March 2017 at Main Foyer, Temasek Polytechnic. One of the projects showcased was ScamDefender, a one-stop portal for all things scam-related. The purpose of this project was to provide the public with early detection and warning against potential scams. A few other innovations on show included: FinTech ecosystem project - the Qlikview dashboard showcased key FinTech areas such as Blockchain, InsurTech and Payments & Remittance in a visually appealing manner; Clairvoyance -- a malware hunting solution with the investigation process and time for hunting down the malware greatly shortened; and Smart Distribution Board which used Internet of Things and cloud-based technologies to help users better manage energy usage and keep utility bills down.
