Press release. 28 Oct. 2016. Temasek Polytechnic and DDB Worldwide to groom smart nation-ready creative technologists

Description: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and DDB Worldwide signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 28 October 2016 to set up a satellite office of Equator to groom the next generation of creative technologists in Singapore. Equator is DDB Worldwide's first-ever global centre of excellence for technology and innovation to pioneer digital transformation marketing solutions. A diverse pool of students from the School of Informatics & IT, School of Design, School of Engineering and School of Business would serve their internships at the on-campus agency. Ms Low Yen Ling, Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Education & Ministry of Trade and Industry, witnessed the signing of the MOU by Mr Peter Lam, Principal & CEO, Temasek Polytechnic and David Tang, CEO of DDB Asia. The first project co-created with TP student was a community project called the Personal Response for Emergency Situations (P.R.E.S.) -- a mobile application that allows users to send one-touch distress signals to their loved ones and relevant authorities, alerting them to possible emergencies such as a terrorist attack or a disaster.; Library has electronic version only.
