Mrs Josephine Teo, Senior Minister of State, Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Transport, officially opened the Temasek Aviation Academy (TAA) on 8 Jan 2016. The 6,000 sqm facility comprises aircraft technical training workshops, an aircraft-access training hangar with a Hawker Siddeley 700A business jet, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) development facilities, a closed-looped wind tunnel, full motion flight simulators, and a 3D modeling and simulation studio, bringing together all of TP's Aviation and Aerospace Engineering capabilities into an integrated training outfit. Mrs Teo presented certificates to 14 graduates of the 1st and 2nd runs of the SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme for the Aerospace Sector during the launch of TAA.
