Temasek Polytechnic, in collaboration with A*STAR's Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Microsoft and MediaTek, organised an "Internet of Things (IoT) Hackathon" to focus on preparing future working adults in the growth area of IoT. The Hackathon took place at Temasek Polytechnic's School of Informatics & IT on 26 & 27 November 2015. Approximately 50 TP students participated in this event to develop prototype IoT solutions within two days, using the Microsoft Azure IoT Open Source Platform, MediaTek LinkIt One platform, together with Engineering System expertise provided by I2R. Dr Tan Guan Hong, Technology Director, Institute for Infocomm Research, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Mr C. C. Ku, General Manager, MediaTek Singapore, Mrs Lee-Lim Sok Keow, Deputy Principal and Director, School of Informatics & IT, Temasek Polytechnic and Mr Nobuhiro Ito, Director for Developer Experience & Evangelism, Microsoft Singapore shared their comments on the Hackathon.
