Press release. 16 Oct. 2014. Robots, iron man and magic!

Description: Jointly organised by Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic, the 11th Engineering Discovery event for students was designed to introduce them to engineering in a simple, engaging way. About 300 students from 13 secondary schools had the opportunity to discover the wonders of engineering and its possibilities - with a little bit of help from robots, iron man and a magician. Among the highlights was an interactive exhibition which offered a hands-on experience of some engineering projects. "Body balance coaching app" and "Memory challenge" were 2 projects exhibited by Temasek Polytechnic. Mr Seto Lok Yin of Republic Polytechnic, Prof Low Kin Huat of NTU, Mr Tan Jui Kuan of Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Mr Peter Ho Yew Chi of Hope Technik Pte Ltd delivered their respective talks/magic show/presentations.
