Press release. 02 Dec. 2014. Student entrepreneurs share the gift of design with children this holiday season

Description: Over two weekends in December, on 6 and 7, 13 and 14 December, 40 talented students, alumni and staff from Temasek Polytechnic's (TP) School of Design, in partnership with Sentosa, organised two workshops on silk-screening and card-making for children whose parents were working full-time or incarcerated in prison. The TP designers also set up shop called "Merry Makers Market" to sell unique, hand-crafted limited edition gift items that were both functional and beautiful, with some 15 stalls located at the Sentosa Boardwalk. In the spirit of inclusivity and giving during the holiday season, the children of the Fei Yue Student Care Centre and Salvation Army Prison Support Services - Kids In Play (KIP) received hand-crafted gifts from the TP design students.; Library has electronic version only.
