The award presentation for the winners of Tourism Innovation Competition 2013 (TIC) was held on Tuesday, 16 July 2013. Some 49 teams of students from 24 schools took part in the 2013 competition with the theme "Youth tourism". TIC was organised by Temasek Polytechnic's School of Business (Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management, and Diploma in Leisure & Resort Management) and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board. It is an annual competition started in 2010, and the aim was to arm student participants with opportunities to learn more about the tourism industry as well as career opportunities available.
