Twenty students from Temasek Polytechnic School of Business Diploma in Culinary & Catering Management provided a Western dining experience to 25 senior citizens from the Bo Tien Welfare homes. Mrs Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Chairman of Singapore Art Museum, graced the event held on 22 Jan 2011 at Bo Tien Welfare Services Auditorium. The event brought Temasek Polytechnic, Bo Tien Welfare Services and Taman Jurong Malay Activity Executive Club (MAEC) together to bring Chinese New Year festive cheer to the senior citizens.
