Temasek Polytechnic (TP) issued a press release on 23 November 2011 on the launch of its newest diploma course -- the Diploma in Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA), which took in its first batch of 50 students in April 2012. TP in partnership with SAS, the leader in business analytics aimed to provide students and teaching staff with training, scholarships, SAS's BI and BA solutions and internship opportunities, complementing SAS's certification program aimed at countering the shortage of skilled advanced analysts in Singapore.
