On 30 January 2024, Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and OMRON Electronics Singapore announced the official opening of the TP-OMRON Proof-of-Concept (POC) Lab & Training Hub, in collaboration with SkillsFuture Singapore. This joint initiative aims to transform skills training in the industrial automation and electronic components sectors. In attendance were Mr. Peter Lam, TP's Principal and CEO, Mr. Don Teng, Managing Director of OMRON Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, and Mr. Song Kwok Yuen, Director of the School of Engineering.
