Description: A landscape photography of subtle waves washed over the rocky coastline of Frankton Arm, New Zealand. Covered in snow, Cecil Peak can be seen laying on the other side. Library pathfinders

Description: LIbrary pathfinders are subject or course specific guides produced by the Reference staff of Temasek Polytechnic Library. They provided tips on locating key resources in books, periodicals, online databases or on the web. In TP Library, the pathfinders were produced respectively at the Business, Science/Technology and Design Reference floors and placed at the reference counters or were thematically arranged and displayed on brochure stands, information boards, tables or displayed on the side panels of book shelves. From 1998 to 2001, some of the pathfinders produced covered library resources on business, apparel design, culture, resources found in Art index and online databases. Signage was also created to direct users to their respective shelf numbers and subject headings.

iCafe @ Library exhibition 2000

Description: The iCafe @ Library Exhibition was held in conjunction with TP Orientation for Freshmen in 2000. The iCafe, an interactive virtual library guide was designed to introduce, in a fun and relaxing way, the services and facilities that the Library had to offer to new patrons and visitors. Based on the popularity of the coffee culture here, the cafe concept as a virtual library guide was designed by 2 Student Internship Programme (SIP) students from the Temasek Information Technology School. Inside the cafe, users could visit the Cyber Club, Edutainment Hall, view Highlights and browse the different "Coffee powders" (library collections) offered and be acquainted with "Student specials" such as past exam papers and information on recommended book collection. To publicise the exhibition, a banner was hung outside the Library and a model dressed prettily as a wait staff graced the entrance to the special display on Info cafe at the Library Exhibition Hall, level 2. The iCafe @ Library Exhibition ran from 26 June to 14 July 2000.

Library displays

Description: Photographs of library displays and signages produced in house between 1998 to 2001 to promote and create awareness of different types of library resources. Some of these displays were held in conjunction with TP wide events such as the annual Tech month. Books of the month featured hot off the press titles such as Lee Kuan Yew memoir to current topics such as e-learning and health & nutrition. BOM displays were usually located at the Reading Lounge of the Library on Level 2. Signage on the rotoflex shelves informed patrons about newspapers clippings of current and past years' articles arranged by subject headings. Plus, signage of shelf call numbers and corresponding subject headings on Level 9, Design floor. There were also thematic glass window displays at level 3 Microcomputer Resources Room as well as outside of the Learning Resource Centre.

Description: A landscape photography of an unfinished/abandoned pier at St. Clair beach in Dunedin, New Zealand. The wooden poles created a perspective looking towards White Island across the horizon. The photographer, Juffry Joihani, a former Temasek Polytechnic staff of Corporate Communications Department, actually waited for the tide to get a little higher to snap this shot before quickly retreating to higher ground. Description: The exhibition entitled "Coffee . Culture . Conversations" was held from 25 September to 28 October 2015 at The Art Gallery @ Temasek Polytechnic, Glocal Connect Village. The exhibition was organized by Temasek Polytechnic's Centre for TransCultural Studies (CTS), in collaboration with Maria Filatova, Dutch Colony Coffee and Santino Coffee Specialist. The Gallery exhibition featured Maria's caffeinated craft in a wall mural depicting the contemporary coffee culture in Singapore, along with a selection of her coffee paintings which did not have a protective layer so that visitors could smell the coffee! This curated exhibition was opened to the public and included workshops in Coffee painting and Latte art & barista appreciation.
