Freshmen Orientation Camp 2016

Description: The Temasek Polytechnic graduation ceremony spanned over 14 sessions from 18 to 22 May 2015. Guest of honour, Ms. Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Education, officiated the opening session held on Monday, 18 May 2015 at 9.00am at the Temasek Convention Centre. A total of 5437 students graduated from 54 full-time diploma courses and 16 part-time courses. Day 2: Session 4. City colours : paint the town red and white

Description: Temasek Polytechnic's Design School Studies Club participated in City Colours : paint the town red and white. The project was organised by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) as part of the National Day celebration, Majulah! The Singapore Spirit. The project aimed to engage students from local tertiary institutions by providing them the experience of dressing up a plot of land to express their creativity, love and pride in Singapore's birthday. The installations were put up by students from 15 to 16 July 2011, and on display till 31 August 2011 at Raffles Place Park and Hill Street. This was the second year that TP participated in the event.

TP Open House 2016, day 2

The annual event was held to enable secondary school students to make an informed choice regarding their educational path after they have completed their studies. The secondary school students were given the opportunity to meet up with the lecturers from the respective schools, have a chat with them on the diploma courses offered, tour the scenic campus and meet up with Temasek Polytechnic students to find out more about the outstanding facilities, the different options open to them and life on campus. The tagline for the 2016 Open House was "Best Day Ever".

Young leaders series, October 2013

Description: The Temasek Polytechnic hosted the Young leaders series for students from different secondary schools on 29 October 2013. Organised by the Corporate Communications Department, this series of events invited outstanding students with good academic and CCA records to come to TP for a day and get a taste of some of the opportunities they would be able to enjoy as TP Scholars and student leaders. This outreach programme, which imparted essential life skills while showcasing the benefits of a TP education was conducted by the Centre for Character & Leadership Education and the Entrepreneurship Centre. Besides students learning about building self-confidence, the series of indoor and outdoor programmes enabled the students not only to focus on achieving strong leadership and teamwork skills, but also looked to the needs of the team members and developed their potential.

Polytechnic Foundation Programme seminar : through-train pathway for Normal (Academic) students

Description: On 28 August 2013, more than 1,000 secondary school students and their parents as well as teachers attended the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) seminar held at the Republic Polytechnic. Mr William Lim, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education (MOE) Higher Education Division, enlightened guests on the PFP. PFP offers a practice-oriented curriculum to prepare Normal (Academic) students for entry into relevant polytechnic diploma courses. This programme is an alternative pathway to Secondary Five and offers students the opportunity to pursue more than 80% of diploma courses offered in the five local polytechnics. Ms Katherine Rajah, Temasek Polytechnic's Assistant Director, School of Engineering Academic Development spoke on TP's PFP one-year programme which offers a practice-oriented curriculum that is specially designed to lay a strong foundation in Language and Mathematics and give polytechnic-bound Normal (Academic) students a foretaste of their chosen diploma courses. The seminar's Q&A session provided a platform for the audience to raise questions regarding PFP to a panel comprising of representatives from MOE and the five polytechnics.

Parental guidance seminar 2014

It was specially organised to remove any doubts and answer questions on what happened after the O-level exams, and what TP had to offer. TP's registrar Ms Sharon Soh shared on admissions related matters and TP's education, while TP's academic staff and students were on hand to answer any questions from the audience.

Temasek Polytechnic Open House 2005, day 3 - Jam & Hop

Description: The Temasek Polytechnic Open House was held from 17 to 19 February 2005. The annual event was held to enable secondary school students to make an informed choice regarding their educational path after they have completed their studies. Visitors were given the opportunity to meet up with the lecturers from the respective schools to find out more on the diploma courses offered. I-Guides, a group of volunteer students, were on hand to guide visitors around the campus and brief them about the various schools and activities going on. Some of the activities provided during the 3-day open house included a fashion show, performances by TP students and for the first time ever, water adventures such as dragon boating, canoeing and canoe-polo were organised and held at Bedok Reservoir. The finale of the Open House was the Jam and Hop session on 19 February 2005 evening with entertainment by renowed local groups such as Pug Jelly, Noize and Turning Point.
