The Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal 2021

Description: In 1994, the Tay Eng Soon Scholarship Fund was established in memory of the late Senior Minister of State for Education, Dr Tay Eng Soon, who played a pivotal role in the development of polytechnic and technical education. From the fund, the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal is awarded annually to outstanding graduates from each of the polytechnics, who graduated from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) prior to their studies at the polytechnic. The Medal was first presented at the 1995 Temasek Polytechnic graduation ceremony. The award recipients in 2021 was: Tham Josiah (School of Engineering).

Description: Temasek Polytechnic 5th Graduation Ceremony was held at the Kallang Theatre on 3 August 1995 for 982 graduands of which 866 were full-time and 116 part-time. It also saw the first batch of 18 graduates trained in the Media Design specialisation of the Visual Communication course. Mr Cheah Kean Huat, Managing Director, Hewlett-Packard Singapore and South-East Asia Sales Region was the Guest-of-Honour for session 1 and Ms Jennie Chua, General Manager, Raffles Hotel was the Guest-of-Honour for session 2.

Campus Care Network Day 1997

Description: The Campus Care Network (CCN) Day is held annually at Temasek Polytechnic, a tradition where staff and students put up a campus-wide bazaar and sale to raise funds for students in need of financial assistance and also to cultivate community spirit and bonding amongst staff and students. For the first time, parents and family members were invited to join in the CCN Day celebrations. Many activities were held, such as, skits and fashion show by students, games booths and sale of items from food to books and t-shirts.
