Description: The Temasek Polytechnic graduation ceremonies were held at the Temasek Convention Centre from May 3-11, 2021. In total, 6,203 students graduated from 47 full-time diploma courses and 42 part-time courses. The guest of honour, Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Second Minister for the Ministry of Education, officiated the opening session. Day 1, session 1 - Graduands from School of Informatics and IT: Diploma in Big Data Management & Governance, Cyber & Digital Security and Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics. There were also award presentations: Lee Kuan Yew Award, Lee Kong Chian Award, Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal, CapitaLand Award for All-Round Excellence, Ngee Ann Kongsi Most Outstanding Overcomer Award, Skills Mastery Award and Partner-in-Education Award. From May 8-11, live ceremonies were replaced with online ceremonies in response to Phase 3 – Heightened Alert. The sessions were livestreamed so that family and friends could take part in the celebration.

It is named after the renowned charitable foundation, The Ngee Ann Kongsi, in honour of its generous contribution to TP. The Lee Kong Chian Award 2021

Description: The Lee Kong Chian Award is given to top non-Science and Technology graduates. It is named after the prominent businessman and philanthropist Lee Kong Chian, who set up the Lee Foundation in 1952 to aid the advancement of education and help the poor, among others. The Lee Foundation has sponsored the Lee Kong Chian Award in honour of Mr Lee’s generous contributions to education and society. The award recipients in 2021 were: Cerlynn Chan Ming Jie (School of Business), Keisia Dominique Lim-Urquhart (School of Business) and Soh Yan Kang Ian (School of Humanities & Social Sciences).

The Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal 2021

Description: In 1994, the Tay Eng Soon Scholarship Fund was established in memory of the late Senior Minister of State for Education, Dr Tay Eng Soon, who played a pivotal role in the development of polytechnic and technical education. From the fund, the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal is awarded annually to outstanding graduates from each of the polytechnics, who graduated from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) prior to their studies at the polytechnic. The Medal was first presented at the 1995 Temasek Polytechnic graduation ceremony. The award recipients in 2021 was: Tham Josiah (School of Engineering).
