Description: On 20 May 2014, 11 top students from the graduating cohort were honoured in a room filled with proud parents, secondary school principals and teachers, in a pre-graduation ceremony as details of the challenges they faced in the pursuit of their dreams were read out. The ceremony also saw a disabled graduand receive the inaugural Ngee Ann Kongsi Most Outstanding Overcomer Award. The awards were presented by Mr Boo Kheng Hua, Principal & CEO. The 2014's top graduands were: Lee Kuan Yew Award for Mathematics & Science: Jody Peh, Lee Li Ting and F Muhammad Faias; Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal: Quek Kai Yu; Lee Kong Chian Award: Janine Loi, Jared Kang and Lo Siu Yen; CapitaLand Award for All-Round Excellence: Juliana Chia; Lee Kong Chian Award for All- Round Excellence: Ee Lee Yee and Yen Mei Yi; Ngee Ann Kongsi Most Outstanding Overcomer Award: Nurul Nabilah Bte Mohamad Fuad.

The Lee Kuan Yew Award 2014

Description: The Lee Kuan Yew Award for Mathematics and Science for polytechnics is awarded to the top technology or computer science graduates in each of the polytechnics. This Award is funded by an honorarium that the late founding Prime Minister Mr Lee Kuan Yew received from various speaking engagements and funds raised from a special edition of his memoirs. The Award was first presented at the 1993 Temasek Polytechnic graduation ceremony. The award recipients in 2014 were: Lee Li Ting (School of Applied Science), F Muhammad Faias (School of Engineering) and Peh Bi Yin Jody (School of Informatics & IT).
