Description: More than 70 first-year students from Temasek Polytechnic (TP) School of Design Digital Film & Television course had the invaluable opportunity of working alongside Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM), Mr Goh Chok Tong, to produce a series of short films in celebration of 40 years of Marine Parade memories. The result, produced in a mere four months, was a collection of stories that brought to life the colourful memories of the people who grew up in Marine Parade - the MParaders. These stories of love, pain, friendship, camaraderie, second-chances and perseverance also showcased the many different aspects of Singapore's history, beautiful architecture, multi-ethnicity and kampong spirit, which would resonate with many Singaporeans. An under-the-stars picnic premiere of "Our stories, our home: 40 years of Marine Parade" was held on Saturday, 12 March 2016 at 7.45pm at Block 50A Marine Terrace with Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong as the guest-of-honour. Prizes were awarded for best film, direction, cinematography, script and editing.
