Description
The Design Show 2013 was held on 1 April 2013. The emphasis for the design show was on social and community design resulting in a showcase of fresh and innovative design solutions to pressing contemporary social issues today. Four hundred projects from the graduating class of Temasek Polytechnic's School of Design were showcased including the humanitarian support backpacks, prosthetic arms for children, eldercare spaces, rejuvenating Pulau Ubin and designing orphanages in Cambodia. Seven groups of students from the Diploma in Moving Images were awarded the Development Assistance Grant by the Media Development Authority (MDA). One of the funded films was "Make me laugh" produced by Aloysius Lim.
