Description: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) Culinary & Catering Management senior, Mr Poh Zhe Kai, emerged champion after beating 14 other top local culinary students across 7 institutions in the prestigious Les Amis Awards 2015 Challenge. Andre Chiang (Restaurant Andre), Joshua Brown (CUT by Wolfgang Puck), and Willin Low (Wild Rocket Restaurant) were among the panel of 12 esteemed chef judges assembled by Les Amis. Zhe Kai took home the $3,000 cash prize, as well as an all-expenses paid '10 Michelin Stars' trip to Europe. Besides that, he also had the invaluable opportunity to meet the chef-owners behind revered kitchens such as Le Petit Nice and Troisgros.

Description: DDB Worldwide launched "Equator", a global centre of excellence for creative technology and innovation in 2016. A satelite office "Equator@TP" was also set up in Temasek Polytechnic (TP) at the end of the year to tap diverse talents from the School of Informatics & IT, School of Design, School of Engineering and School of Business to create prototype concepts for commercial and community needs. Mr Peter Lam, Principal and CEO, Temasek Polytechnic, commented on the collaboration as a first-of-its-kind between DDB Worldwide and a tertiary institution in Singapore. He said that TP students would be given valuable opportunities for authentic learning as they work in multi-disciplinary teams, on real-life projects, with leading practitioners from the creative industry at TP campus.

Description: Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment, Mr Desmond Tan, launched Singapore’s first course on chiller refrigerant handling at Temasek Polytechnic (TP) on 15 September 2021. The course, a collaboration between the National Environment Agency (NEA) and TP, was intended to equip chiller technicians in the refrigeration and air-conditioning (RAC) industry with essential knowledge and skills to handle refrigerants correctly during the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning works on water-cooled chillers.

Description: The Tourism Innovation Competition (TIC) was held from 10 -17 June 2014. Some 29 teams of students from 13 secondary schools and the ITE presented their creative proposals reinforcing and reinventing sustainable approaches to hospitality operations, specifically in the hotel sector. The theme for the competition was "Sustainability and the hotel sector" and the winners were announced on Tuesday, 17 June, 2014 at Auditorium 1, Temasek Polytechnic. TIC is an annual competition which started in 2010. It was organised by Temasek Polytechnic's School of Business (Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management, and Diploma in Leisure & Resort Management) and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board.

Description: Temasek Polytehcnic (TP) launched its Centre of Innovation (COI) for Complementary Health Products (CHP) to provide a one-stop service centre for CHP related enterprises. Guest-of-honour, Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Health and Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, officiated the launch on Thursday, 16 June 2016 at Auditorium 3, Temasek Polytechnic. The inauguration of the COI CHP also included the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between TP and three of its industry partners namely, Changi General Hospital Clinical Trial Research Unit, Singapore Chinese Physicians' Association (SCPA) and Techkon Properties Pte Ltd. Description: Jointly organised by Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic, the 11th Engineering Discovery event for students was designed to introduce them to engineering in a simple, engaging way. About 300 students from 13 secondary schools had the opportunity to discover the wonders of engineering and its possibilities - with a little bit of help from robots, iron man and a magician. Among the highlights was an interactive exhibition which offered a hands-on experience of some engineering projects. "Body balance coaching app" and "Memory challenge" were 2 projects exhibited by Temasek Polytechnic. Mr Seto Lok Yin of Republic Polytechnic, Prof Low Kin Huat of NTU, Mr Tan Jui Kuan of Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Mr Peter Ho Yew Chi of Hope Technik Pte Ltd delivered their respective talks/magic show/presentations. The event was hosted by Ngee Ann Polytechnic and held on 16 October 2014.

Description: The exhibition entitled "Coffee . Culture . Conversations" was held from 25 September to 28 October 2015 at The Art Gallery @ Temasek Polytechnic, Glocal Connect Village. The exhibition was organized by Temasek Polytechnic's Centre for TransCultural Studies (CTS), in collaboration with Maria Filatova, Dutch Colony Coffee and Santino Coffee Specialist. The Gallery exhibition featured Maria's caffeinated craft in a wall mural depicting the contemporary coffee culture in Singapore, along with a selection of her coffee paintings which did not have a protective layer so that visitors could smell the coffee! This curated exhibition was opened to the public and included workshops in Coffee painting and Latte art & barista appreciation.

Both companies provided the hardware, software and initial expertise to kick start the Academy program. The first intake commenced in Q2/3 2015, with 100 participants enrolled in the first year. Description: Temasek Polytechnic organised the Tourism Innovation Competition 2012 for 205 students from 23 Secondary Schools and ITE Colleges. It was held from 15 to 22 June 2012. A total of 47 teams attempted to provide innovative solutions to accessibility problems for the special needs visitor in Sentosa. The special needs visitor profile included the disabled, elderly, families with young children, nursing mothers, and pregnant women. Consultation was held with TP's Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) / Leisure Resort Management (LRM) lecturers as well as staff from Singapore Tourism Board and Sentosa Development Corporation to fine-tune proposals on their assigned areas. The participants set up 47 on-site displays for the judges to view. The top 3 teams presented their proposals to the judges and their peers on 22 June 2012. Teo Wei Xuan, Cedar Girls Secondary School and Florentino Gem Paula Villar, from Yishun Town Secondary School gave comments on their proposals.

Description: Temasek Polytechnic (TP) has collaborated with Harbin Institute of Technology Robot Group (HRG), one of China's leading robot manufacturers, in the setting up of the TP-HRG Robotics Innovation Centre. The launch of the TP-HRG Robotics Innovation Centre follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed in May 2018, where TP and HRG would cooperate in research & development, training, as well as the designing, delivering, test-bedding and integrating of solutions in relevant technologies in support of industry players. This includes small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore and around the region.
